Before you sign up
Do I need a contract or a minimum monthly spend?
No. You fund a prepaid balance and pay for what you use; calls are billed per second. Monthly items such as the CRM or extra SIP users bill only while switched on; servers and survey plans are prepaid for the term you choose.
How do I pay?
In crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT (ERC-20 or TRC-20), USDC or TRX. The minimum top-up is €50. An invoice is issued first and your balance is credited as soon as the payment confirms.
Can I get phone numbers for inbound calls?
No. ObiSIP sells outbound termination only — there are no DIDs or inbound numbers, and no emergency (112/911) calling.
Can I set my own caller ID?
Yes, using numbers you are authorised to use. Presenting numbers you have no right to use is prohibited under our Terms and leads to suspension.
Do I need my own phone system to make calls?
No. Any SIP phone system or softphone works, and if you have none, ObiSIP Phone is our free softphone: download it, sign in with a SIP user from your portal, and it registers to our softswitch. Windows and macOS today; Linux, Android and iPhone will follow.
Why does Windows warn me when I open ObiSIP Phone?
The download is a single file that is not yet signed with a publisher certificate, so Windows SmartScreen may show an "unrecognised app" message the first time. Choose More info, then Run anyway. We publish the file only at obisip.com/downloads; if you got it from anywhere else, delete it and download it again from us.
Why does my Mac say ObiSIP Phone cannot be opened?
The Mac version is not yet notarised by Apple, so macOS blocks it the first time. The easiest way around this is to install it from Terminal instead: paste curl -fsSL https://obisip.com/downloads/install-mac.sh | bash and press Return; it downloads, checks and opens ObiSIP with no pop-up. If you used the .dmg: on macOS 14 or earlier, right-click ObiSIP in Applications, choose Open, then Open again. On macOS 15 or later, when it offers only Move to Trash, click Done, then go to System Settings, Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway. If macOS says the app is damaged, run xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/ObiSIP.app in Terminal. You only need to do this once.
How fast is a dedicated server ready?
Servers are built automatically once paid. A VPN server is usually up in under 10 minutes; VICIdial, PBX, CRM and Survey servers typically within 30 minutes. Login details appear in your portal.

Does the hosted CRM dial automatically?
No — it is a click-to-call desk: agents work an assigned-lead queue and dial with one click. For predictive dialing, order a dedicated VICIdial server.
